The Belle Community Betterment Association (BCBA) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony during the groundbreaking of the Belle area’s highly anticipated OutKast Sports Complex on January 4, 2024. Spearheaded by Joey and Amanda Butler, founders of OutKast Baseball, a 501c3, and Jeremy and Tiffany Vandegriffe, this ambitious $3.88 million project was made possible through HB20 by the Missouri General Assembly.

Situated opposite the Kingsford Soccer Complex in Belle, this expansive 29-acre sports complex is poised to house a 36,000-square-foot facility. Mid-State Pipeline will oversee construction, targeting the June 1 funding deadline. Anticipated amenities include two basketball courts, volleyball, archery, golf, a weights gym, and four outdoor baseball/softball fields.

Operational without city funds, the complex aims to instill discipline, teamwork, and a pursuit of excellence among the youth. While a portion of the allocated $4 million will be allocated to reserves, the Butlers plan to manage the facility under OutKast Baseball, generating revenue by renting it to teams and hosting tournaments.

OutKast Baseball, which originated in 2019 with a single team, is on the verge of expanding to eight teams.

The Butlers attribute the urgent community need for such a facility as the driving force behind this impactful endeavor, highlighting its importance in serving neighboring communities.
